From a practical point of view, I must admit that I cannot paint well. It’s also not my aim, by using techniques mastered and honed skills, to create artistic masterpieces.
I paint because this creates in me a feeling of freedom which I cannot begin to describe with words. I let my creative impulses run free and thus all my feelings, thoughts and sentiments, in fact my whole consciousness flow into my pictures.
I do not think about how the finished picture will look. I am more like a child, coming to terms with its environment, simply by painting pictures. I regard my soul as the model for my paintings, their variety never fail to please me anew.
